Job Summary

Paints aircraft detail parts and assemblies in accordance with customer and company specifications and requirements while using proper personal protective equipment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Paints aircraft detail parts and assemblies in accordance with customer and AEI specifications and requirements.
  • Mixes and measures all types of pain in accordance with instructions.
  • Cleans paint gun daily and maintain related equipment.
  • Uses HVLP guns in performance of duties.
  • Ensures shelf life of all materials is not expired.
  • Maintains clean work area.
  • Visually inspects parts for foreign object damage (F.O.D).
  • Properly document travelers and process logs.
  • Records job information ERP system.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Ability to communicate verbally in one-on-one situations with management and co-workers; listen to others without interrupting and get clarification when needed.
  • Ability to safely and properly use paint equipments such as sprayers; calipers, and other tools and equipment.
  • Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds with assistance.
  • Ability to identify proper materials and supplies according to specifications.
  • Strong attention to detail and focus on quality and accuracy.
  • Exhibits dependability, including following instructions; responding to supervisor’s direction; and taking responsibility for own actions.
  • Ability to take initiative, including asking for and offering help when needed; performs work independently without being prompted
  • Ability to follow priorities and plan work activities; use time efficiently; and work within deadlines.
Language Skills

Ability to read and interpret documents such as blue prints, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Ability to speak effectively in front of customers or employees.

Ability to read, write and understand the English language.

Ability to communicate verbally in one-on-one situations with customers, management and co-workers, including the ability to communicate complex design issues to non-technical recipients; and the ability to listen to others without interrupting and get clarification when needed.
