Job summary

Lifespace Communities is seeking a Painter at our Downers Grove, IL location. You will prepare surfaces, mix paints, and apply finishes to surfaces, fixtures, or furniture as directed. Maintain safe operation of all tools and equipment and report maintenance needs to supervision.

We look for at least a high school diploma and one year of related painting experience. This role emphasizes teamwork, timely project completion, and adherence to budget constraints within a senior living environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• One year of related painting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and select materials or surfaces for application of paint and other finishes.
• Mixes, tints, shades materials for desired aesthetics and quality.
• Apply paints, varnishes, and other finishes to surfaces, buildings, fixtures, or furniture as instructed by supervisor.
• Apply, repairs, or fixes wall coverings.
• Operate all equipment, company vehicles and hand or power tools safely.
• Ensure that equipment is properly maintained, and report malfunction or repair needs to supervisor.
• Complete work within scheduled time frame, according to budget, and priority set by the supervisor.
• Report other maintenance or repair issues, unsafe conditions, and inventory shortages to supervisor.
