Job summary

STS Technical Services in Springtown, Texas is hiring Painters to support industrial painting operations. The role requires at least 2 years of painting experience and the ability to read blueprints. You will operate painting systems, mix paints, and perform routine maintenance while ensuring safety with hazardous chemicals.

This full-time position offers $16.00 per hour with a standard day shift. Candidates should be able to work up to ten hours daily and pass a safety-focused onboarding

Responsibilities

• Operates Paint Process System to ensure product is properly painted according to defined procedures and specifications.
• Mixes paint according to manufacturer's specifications and ensures desired quality.
• Cleans paint guns, pressure pots, and pressure sprayers.
• Prepares surfaces for painting with chemicals or abrasive substances as required.
• Applies paint to products as they pass through paint booth on a predetermined conveyor speed.
• Performs QA checks for color, film thickness, adhesion, and appearance.
• Identifies material by job/release number and drawing number.
• Performs loader duties including prehanging of parts on overhead rack; loading and unloading parts on conveyor before and after painting; inspection of parts.
• Performs minor maintenance to paint equipment, conveyor, dry-off oven, and spray washer.
• Changes paint booth filters as required.
• Removes and replaces floor paper in booth.
• Disposes of cleaning fluid according to hazardous waste procedures.
• Must be willing to work with hazardous chemicals and abrasive substances.
• Daily attendance of up to ten hours per day to meet schedules.
• Ability to read blue prints.
• Ability to record time on timesheet (in decimals) from reading chart.
• Must be able to read work orders and production status reports for work center numbers and times to be entered on timesheets.
