Job description

U.S. Facilities, Inc., a consolidated facility management service, is seeking a Painter for our Philadelphia, PA location. The painter will be responsible for interior and exterior painting and re-painting of walls and ceilings. Responsible to take immediate action to resolve corrective maintenance issues.


May be required to perform additional or different duties from those set forth above to address business needs and changing business practices.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Repaint damage or deteriorated surfaces

  • Paint new work installed by others

  • Touch up painted areas

  • Clean and prep painted areas

  • Work with other staff as assigned or independently

  • Report to supervisory personnel for material list and project timelines

  • Make light carpentry/masonry repairs in preparation for painting

  • Install ceiling tiles, floor tiles, walls/base trim as assigned


EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/BASIC QUALIFICATIONS



  • Basic literacy and the strength and dexterity required for heavy lifting tasks

  • High School Diploma, GED, or Trade School certification

  • Must provide own basic hand tools and test equipment

  • Ability to read drawings and layouts

  • Ability to read and speak English clearly

  • Valid Driver's license

  • Able to climb ladders and walk long distances

  • Ability to pass Background Investigation without Criminal history

  • Ability to pass Pre-employment Drug Screening and Random Drug Testing

  • Willingness to work overtime when required

  • Ability to work in all climate conditions

  • Work in a Correctional environment, which operates 24/7
