Job summary

Hilton Myrtle Beach Resort is seeking a reliable Painter to join our maintenance team. You will paint, maintain and repair surfaces of the building, rooms, furniture and equipment throughout the hotel to ensure guest satisfaction and property upkeep.

This full-time role requires a flexible schedule including holidays and weekends; we offer PTO, health benefits, a 401(k) with company match, life insurance and various travel program perks for team members and their families.

Responsibilities

• Paint, maintain and repair painted surfaces of building structures, rooms, furniture and equipment throughout the hotel and facilities.
• Prepare and paint surfaces using brushes, rollers and spray-guns; measure surfaces, mix paint and spackle as needed.
• Install and repair wall coverings and maintain caulked, wood and masonry surfaces.

Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

Responsibilities

• Paint, maintain and repair painted, wall-covered, stained and varnished surfaces of building structures, rooms, furniture and equipment throughout the hotel and facilities.
• Prepare and paint surfaces using techniques and tools including, but not limited to, measuring surfaces, applying spackle and plaster, mixing paint, matching paint and using brushes, rollers and spray-guns.
• Install and repair covered wall and ceiling surfaces including, but not limited to, hanging vinyl paper, fabric and foil wall coverings.
• Maintain and repair caulked, grouted, wood and masonry surfaces requiring staining, varnishing and lacquering.
• Maintains inventory of supplies needed to perform job function.
• Reports major repairs and items that cannot be repaired to the superiors for further action.
