Summary

Spray paint and finish components and parts, per planning and blueprint needs, while meeting quality, cost, and delivery requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform painting and finishing related activities that meet company standards and customer expectations.
• Follow standard operating procedures when using tools and spray painting systems
• Properly care for and maintain shop equipment and paint sprayer
• Follow standard operating procedures when using sealants, paint strippers, and corrosive preventative chemicals
• Read and interpret blueprints, work order requirements, and engineering documentation
• Comply with all safety rules and procedures.

Education/Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED), one to three years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Certificates and Licenses

Ability to pass a physical exam to determine pulmonary function in order to obtain respirator certification.

Ability to accomplish the following mathematically, in all units of measure: add, subtract, multiply, divide, whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, percent, and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Ability to interpret a variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form, and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
