Position Overview

We are seeking a Paint Technician responsible for mixing and testing solvent-based paints, stains, and coatings on wood components. The role involves color match verification, quality assurance, and coordination with multiple departments to meet product specifications. Ideal candidates have an eye for detail and enjoy working in an industrial painting environment.

Responsibilities
  1. Measuring and catalyzing materials, ensuring quality application of coatings, and adjusting spraying equipment as needed.
  2. Coordinating with other departments regarding product details and specifications.
  3. Supporting and cross-training within finishing and related departments.
  4. Maintaining spray application processes, learning about different wood species and finish colors, managing hazardous waste responsibly, and complying with OSHA, EPA, and local laws.
Qualifications
  1. High school diploma
  2. Valid state-issued motor vehicle license
  3. Experience in a paint lab or paint mixing preferred
  4. Computer skills preferred
  5. Strong verbal and written communication skills
  6. Team-oriented with good interpersonal skills
  7. Good color perception
