E Marine Refinishing in Fort Lauderdale is seeking an experienced marine painter to prep and finish yacht surfaces. You will mix, apply and sand coatings per manufacturer specs, protect work areas, and assist multiple projects while maintaining safety and quality.

Strong attention to detail, good communication, and the ability to work unsupervised in a fast-paced environment are essential. Eligible candidates have at least 1 year of relevant experience, can lift up to 50 pounds, and are reliable

• Minimum 1 year current experience with stripping, sanding, priming and painting yachts or equivalent.
• Ability to read and follow labels, safety warnings and guidelines.
• Capable of following instructions and communicating with co-workers.

At least 1 year current experience, stripping, sanding, priming and painting yachts or the equivalent (ie customized vehicle, cars, motorcoach).

Capable of receiving and following instructions and communicating with co-workers

Must have extensive knowledge of marine coatings products and painting equipment

Able to read and adhere to labels, safety warnings, and guidelines

Attentive to detail and always alert to ensure safety

Must be able to properly prepare, clean, and tapes all jobsites.

Excellent customer service skills – known as someone who goes above and beyond

Must have a positive attitude

Must have highly effective communication skills and time management skills

Must be able to maintain a calm, positive attitude during periods of high activity

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

JOB DESCRIPTION

Properly prepare vessel's surfaces and have them ready for spray.

Be able to mix and prepare high quality marine coatings materials as per manufacture's specifications.

Sand surfaces for paint or after paint to prepare from blends and polish

Cover or tent all areas to prepare for paint.

Assists with a number of projects at one time.

Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Regularly required to sit, talk, hear, walk and lift.

Frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms.

Required to stand, climb ladders and walk on even and un-even surfaces.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Must have regular attendance and be able to work overtime when needed and potentially work alternate shifts as determined by jobs needs.
