Job summary

Cygnus, Inc. seeks personnel for paint department work, including racking, priming, and painting parts. Responsibilities include determining orientation for efficient painting, removing parts from racks, and performing touch-ups as needed.

Positions require ability to follow instructions, read procedures, and maintain a clean work area. Manufacturing or painting experience is a plus, with the first shift schedule described above.

Responsibilities

• Rack or hang parts prior to priming or painting.
• Work with painters to determine best orientation for racking or hanging of parts to ensure efficient painting.
• Remove primed or painted parts from racking.
• Rotate or Re-rack parts in between coats of prime or paint.
• Touch-up primed or painted parts.
• Back-up for masking or de-masking as required.
• Learn production flow through Paint Department.
• Read and follow detailed work instructions, operating procedures, drawings and blueprints.
• Maintain a clean work area.
• Ability to work both independently or under direction as the job requires.
• Manufacturing or painting experience is a plus.

This is a 1 st shift position, - we are currently doing a9/80 schedule (1st week6 am to 3:30 pm. - M-Th + 6 am to 2:30pm Fri then 2nd week 6 am to 3:30 pm. - M-Th and Fri off)
