Job summary

American Paint Recyclers in Van Wert, Ohio, is seeking a dependable Paint Inspection & Sorting Technician for 1st and 2nd shifts. You will inspect, sort, and evaluate incoming paint containers to ensure they meet recycling standards and serve as the first quality control checkpoint in our process.

Responsibilities

• Inspect incoming paint containers for acceptance against standards.
• Perform visual inspections for contamination, leaks, damage, mold, or non-acceptable materials.
• Identify and separate non-acceptable products (oil-based paints, hazardous materials).
• Sort containers by type, condition, and processing guidelines.
• Dispose of rejected materials per procedures.
• Identify water-based latex paint and other acceptable products for recycling.
• Maintain area cleanliness and safety.
• Follow safety policies and environmental regulations.
• Collaborate with production to meet daily goals.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
