Lewis Collision Center is seeking a dependable Paint Prepper to join our collision repair team. You will prepare vehicles for painting, assist with masking, and help maintain an efficient workflow in a professional shop environment.

Required qualifications include high attention to detail, ability to work in a production setting, and reliable attendance. Prior automotive collision or paint prep experience is preferred; valid driver's license is a plus.

Qualifications

  • Ability to safely operate basic automotive and paint-preparation tools and equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare vehicles and parts for paint and refinishing.
  • Sand, scuff, feather-edge, and prepare repaired surfaces.
  • Perform masking and taping of vehicles and components.
  • Clean and degrease surfaces before refinishing.
  • Apply primers, sealers, and other approved materials as directed.
  • Assist painters with mixing and preparing materials when needed.
  • Maintain clean and organized work areas.
  • Follow all safety procedures and manufacturer recommendations.
  • Inspect work to ensure surfaces are properly prepared before entering the paint booth.
