Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced technician for vehicle paint preparation and finishing, including cleaning, dent filling, and surface smoothing to prep vehicles for painting.

You will work with the paint team to ensure timely delivery and maintain equipment; responsibilities include buffing, waxing, and assisting with pre-paint blending.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in vehicle paint process.
• I-CAR Certification preferred.
• Ability to receive directions and work well with others.
• Must be able to pass thorough background check.

Responsibilities

• Remove grease, dirt, paint, or rust from vehicle surfaces before painting.
• Assist painter with pre-paint blending needs.
• Keep vehicles on track for scheduled delivery times with the paint team.
• Fill small dents or scratches with body fillers and smooth surfaces for painting.
• Buff and wax finished paintwork.
• Disassemble, clean, and reassemble sprayers and power equipment.

• Assist painter with pre-paint blending needs.
• Work with the paint team to keep vehicles on track for scheduled delivery times.
• Fill small dents or scratches with body fillers and smooth surfaces to prepare vehicles for painting.
• Buff and wax finished paintwork.
• Disassemble, clean, and reassemble sprayers and power equipment using solvents, wire brushes, and cloths.
