Job summary

Jobtailor seeks an experienced vehicle paint technician to prepare surfaces, blend base coats, and assist with application and finishing. You will clean surfaces, fill dents, buff and wax, and ensure timely delivery by supporting the paint team.

The role requires prior painting experience, I-CAR certification where possible, and the ability to follow directions and work well within a team. A background check is required, and the position is on-site in Colorado Springs.

Responsibilities

• Remove grease, dirt, paint, or rust from vehicle surfaces in preparation for paint application using abrasives, solvents, brushes, blowtorches, washing tanks, or sandblasters.
• Assist the painter with pre-paint blending needs.
• Work with the paint team to keep vehicles on track for scheduled delivery times.
• Fill small dents or scratches with body fillers and smooth surfaces for painting.
• Buff and wax finished paintwork.
• Disassemble, clean, and reassemble sprayers and power equipment using solvents, wire brushes, and cloths.
