Job summary

Camtronics, a subsidiary of HEICO, is seeking a Full-Time Paint Prep Technician. The role focuses on sanding and bodywork repair of antennas, following repair orders and SOPs.

The position operates Monday through Friday from 3:30 PM to 12:00 AM, in a production setting with typical shop equipment usage. Responsibilities include completing taping and sanding, performing bodywork, and documenting traceability on manufacturing orders.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and procedures.
• Ability to communicate in writing and verbally.

The Paint Prep Technician position is primarily responsible for performing sanding and bodywork repair of antennas.Monday - Friday 3:30 PM - 12:00 AM.

Responsibilities:

• Completes taping and sanding of antenna exterior.
• Performs bodywork and repair on antennas.
• Works to approved documentation such as repair order, Standard Operation Procedures (SOP) and Work Instructions (WI).
• Use of shop tools and various shop equipment.
• Document traceability of components used in assembly on manufacturing orders.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications:

Work Experience:

• Previous experience using shop tools in a production environment preferred.
• Previous experience performing bodywork, painting or sanding tasks preferred, but not required.

Specialized Knowledge or Abilities:

• Language: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to communicate orally and in writing.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member is regularly required to stand; walk; bend, squat, use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The Team Member may occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment
