Job summary

Stellar in Garner, IA is seeking a full-time Paint Prep worker to prepare finished products for painting under supervision. You will read blueprints and work orders and work with teammates to complete orders on time.

The ideal candidate has basic painting and bodywork aptitude, basic manufacturing background and mechanical aptitude, and basic computer skills. You must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods while following safety rules.

Responsibilities

• Perform all aspects of the paint prep area as part of a team.
• Take direction from supervision to complete orders on time.
• Read work orders and understand technical documents required by the job.
• Learn to operate mechanical equipment and other tools as needed.
• Maintain a productive, safe work ethic and quality standards.
• Reduce scrap and rework; continually improve quality.
• Follow company safety rules and policies.
• Keep equipment and work areas clean and orderly.
• Operate required tooling to fulfill basic job requirements.
• Strive to improve in all job aspects.
• Perform any other duties as assigned.
