Jusczak Repair is seeking a dependable Paint Prep Technician to join our team in Minnesota. The role involves preparing trucks, trailers, and equipment for paint through sanding, masking, cleaning, and surface prep.

Ideal applicants have experience with sandblasting and use of hand and power tools, with strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality. You will contribute to a safe, efficient shop and support painters as needed.

Jusczak Repair is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Paint Prep Technician to join our growing team. This position is responsible for preparing commercial trucks, trailers, and equipment for painting by performing surface preparation, masking, sanding, cleaning, and other pre-paint tasks.

The ideal candidate takes pride in quality workmanship, works efficiently, and understands the importance of proper preparation in achieving a professional finish. This role is a key part of the paint process and helps ensure high-quality results for our customers.

Responsibilities

• Prepare trucks, trailers, and equipment for paint through sanding, masking, cleaning, and surface preparation.
• Operate sandblasting equipment to remove rust, coatings, and contaminants.
• Perform minor body filler and surface repair work as needed.
• Assist painters with staging, moving, and preparing vehicles and components.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Requirements

• Previous experience in paint preparation, automotive, heavy truck, or equipment repair preferred.
• Experience with sanding, masking, surface preparation, and sandblasting.
• Ability to safely operate hand and power tools.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• Valid driver's license required.
• CDL is a plus but not required.
