Job summary

Valence Surface Technologies in Everett, WA, is seeking a Paint Helper to support the painting team. The role involves preparing parts, sanding, cleaning, and assisting with primers and topcoats in a fast-paced shop environment.

Reports to the Operations Manager and offers full-time hours with a compensation range of $20.77 to $23.88 per hour. On-the-job training provided; no experience required. Medical and 401k benefits included.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• No prior painting experience required.
• Must comply with safety regulations.
• Ability to learn and follow directions.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Painter with daily activities not involving spraying.
• Prepare parts by hand sanding and solvent cleaning.
• Mix primers and topcoats for painting processes.
• Lay out parts for painting and maneuver for even coverage.
• Complete work orders and paperwork during the paint process.
• Document oven charts and temperatures accurately.
• Maintain a clean paint shop environment.
• Follow safety rules and wear protective gear.
• Handle hazardous materials safely per regulations.
• Set up and label hazardous waste storage boxes.
• Other duties as assigned.
