Job summary

Steel Dynamics, Inc. is seeking a packager to handle the packaging and banding of coils at the Paint Line Exit Sections. The role includes identifying finished coils, supporting inventory management, and unloading packaging supplies.

Responsibilities also cover operating coil tracking equipment and performing any line-related labor tasks as needed on the production floor. The ideal candidate will have basic mechanical and electrical skills, safety and quality focus, and strong teamwork abilities.

Qualifications

• Basic mechanical and electrical skills are required.
• Safety and quality oriented approach is essential.
• Good people skills to interact with team members.
• Must participate in SDI's Respiratory Protection Program with training, medical surveillance, and fit testing, plus No Facial Hair Policy.
• Medical requirements include pulmonary function testing.
• No facial hair policy applies (Beards, Goatee, Handle-Bar Mustaches, Long Sideburns).
• Paint Line is a No Smoking Area.
