Kundlas Consulting Group LLC is seeking a Paint Inspector to inspect and test paints, primers, coatings, and related materials for public infrastructure projects. You will review sampling and laboratory results, witness testing at manufacturer laboratories, and ensure color matching and catalog compliance with specifications.

Ideal candidates hold an associate degree in chemistry or a related field and have at least five years of paint inspection or testing experience, with knowledge of ASTM

Salary Range: $120,000.00 To $137,000.00 Annually

About the Role:

The Paint Inspector will inspect and test paints, primers, coatings, and related materials used by the Authority. This role requires experience with paint manufacturing, laboratory testing, color matching, ASTM test methods, and regulatory requirements for restricted chemicals.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Associate's degree in chemistry or a related field.
• Minimum of five years of experience inspecting and/or testing paints, primers, and coatings.
• Experience with ASTM and other laboratory test methods.
• Knowledge of paint manufacturing processes.
• Knowledge of industry and military specifications.
• Knowledge of New York State and federal regulations for restricted chemicals, including volatile organic compounds.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working in paint manufacturing plants.
• Quality assurance experience involving paints, primers, or coatings.
• Experience working in paint-testing laboratories.
• Experience with color matching and instrumental color measurement techniques.
• Experience with tri-stimulus measurement.
