Key Responsibilities:

The Paint I performs entry-level preparation and painting activities on manufactured products and components. This role prepares surfaces, mixes and applies coatings, and performs basic finishing work in accordance with established work instructions, specifications, safety requirements, and quality standards.

Requirements
Key Deliverables of the Position
  • Properly prepare surfaces for coating application.
  • Apply paints and coatings to meet established quality and appearance requirements.
  • Complete required production and process documentation accurately.
  • Handle paints, coatings, solvents, and equipment safely.
  • Meet assigned quality and production expectations consistently.
Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Typically 0–2 years of manufacturing painting, industrial finishing, automotive painting, or related experience.
Technical Competencies

1) Basic surface preparation and masking techniques.

2) Basic paint and coating preparation and application.

3) Safe use of spray equipment, hand tools, and related finishing equipment.

4) Ability to follow work instructions, specifications, and established processes.

5) Basic understanding of finish quality and common paint defects.

6) Proper handling of paints, solvents, coatings, and related materials.

7) Basic measuring and documentation skills.

8) Excellent Communication Skills – both verbal and written.
