Job summary

Ferrara/KME is seeking a hands-on production teammate to polish, sand, and finish surfaces and assist in light assembly tasks in a metal fabrication environment. You will operate buffers, apply masking, and prepare surfaces for painting while following safety rules.

Responsibilities include polishing surfaces, removing masking, sanding, washing and cleaning exteriors, interiors and engine compartments, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives on the shop floor.

Qualifications

• Must possess a HS Diploma, GED or equivalent.
• Must be able to read and understand English.
• Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Polish sanded surfaces using an electric Buffer and compounds with cloth or foam wheels.
• Remove masking after paint or apply masking prior to a process.
• Sand surfaces or parts using a mechanical or hand sanding.
• Sand or grind areas to remove sharp edges, burrs or defects in preparation of paint.
• Some assembly or disassembly in areas of job function may be required.
• Wash, wax and clean exteriors, interiors and engine compartments using various cleaners and equipment.
• May perform other duties as assigned.
