Job summary

Intown Ace Hardware is hiring a Paint Sales Associate to assist customers, guide paint selections, and support daily store operations in a fast-paced environment. You will help customers find everything needed for their projects and contribute to a friendly, high-energy team culture.

We value reliability, a helpful attitude, and a willingness to learn with extensive training. This full-time role includes weekends, with a focus on exceptional customer service and product knowledge across paint

Qualifications

• Experience as user or seller of varied paint and sundries preferred.
• Reliable team player.

• Full-time includes weekends; store hours 10AM-6PM.

Responsibilities

• Provide a positive representation of Intown Ace.
• Assist customers with paint color selection and finish products.
• Advise on paint accessories and techniques.
• Greet customers and thank them at checkout and departure.
• Maintain store cleanliness and organize merchandise on the floor and in stockroom.
• Assist with stock checks, receiving, and replenishment.
• Support signage updates and basic merchandising across the store.

General Summary

The Paint Sales Associate will assist in the selling, receiving, stocking, pricing of all merchandise and help maintain a clean and orderly merchandise presentation and overall store cleanliness.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Customer Service:

• Provide a positive representation of Intown Ace.
• Support customers in their paint color selection and mix paint to their specifications.
• Advise customers on paint accessories and techniques.
• Proactively assist customers in solving their problems.
• Greet customers entering and throughout the store. Thank customers when finished and when they are leaving the store.
• Possess a friendly outgoing demeanor; work well with customers as well as associates.
• Ensure all pages and calls are answered promptly, courteously and effectively.
• Forward any customer complaint that cannot be handled to a member of management.
• Possess strong product knowledge and knowledge of store layout and location of products.
• Assist customers throughout the store with personal, customized service based on the premise of amazing every customer, every time.

Store Operations

• Assist in creating a positive, professional and safe work environment.
• Assist with receiving, checking in and stocking of merchandise throughout the store.
• Assist with maintaining back stock levels.
• Assist with daily maintenance, orderliness and cleanliness of the sales floor, stockroom and outdoor merchandise area.
• Assist with providing a clean and orderly sales floor, including end caps and ad merchandise.
• Assist with merchandise resets through the store.
• Provide assistance to Department Specialists, i.e. price changes, special orders.
• Ensure signage is current throughout the store.
• Communicate any Store Support Center issue to General Manager for follow up.
• Communicate any merchandising, cost control or sales idea to General Manager.
• Participate in store meetings.
• Be professional in appearance and actions.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Physical Demands: Standing, walking, lifting (up to 50lbs), and potentially climbing.

Full-time includes weekends. Store hours currently 10AM-6PM every day.
