Job summary

University of California, San Francisco is seeking a pain psychologist to join the Center for Pain Medicine within the Department of Anesthesia and Perioperative Care. This full-time faculty role supports patient care and education at UCSF Health in San Francisco.

The successful candidate will conduct intake evaluations, assess neuromodulation suitability, and provide individual and group psychotherapy for chronic pain, including adolescents and young adults.

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree in Psychology or related field.
• Postdoctoral training in health psychology, preference for an APA-accredited clinical fellowship in pain psychology.
• Licensed to practice in California.
• Applicants’ materials must list current and/or pending qualifications upon submission.

Responsibilities

• Intake evaluations and assessments for neuromodulation suitability.
• Individual psychotherapy for patients with pain.
• Group psychotherapy for patients with pain.
• Experience with adolescents/young adults with chronic pain is encouraged.
