Job summary

Advanced Spine and Pain Centers seeks a certified Physician Assistant to join our Delaware, Virginia, and Maryland offices. You will perform comprehensive exams for patients with chronic pain, manage medications, and collaborate with physicians to design effective treatment plans.

Preferred candidates have pain management or orthopedics experience, and hold active DE/VA/MD licenses. The role includes patient education, possible injections, and commitment to ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Must have a DE/VA/MD PA license and be eligible to practice in the specified states.
• Experience in pain management and/or orthopedics is preferred.
• Excellent clinical skills across assessment, diagnosis and treatment planning.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough physical examinations of patients with pain-related concerns.
• Administer and monitor medications for pain relief following protocols.
• Consult with other providers before deciding on therapies or treatment plans.
• Identify non-invasive treatment options and consider joint injections when appropriate.
• Educate patients on pain management techniques, lifestyle modifications and self-care.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure coordinated care.
• Stay current with advances in pain management through ongoing learning.

Advanced Spine and Pain Centers is seeking a certified Physician Assistant for our Delaware/Virginia/ Maryland offices.

Candidates with previous experience in pain management and/or orthopedics are highly desirable.

Physician Assistant Requirements: must have graduated from an accredited Physician Assistant program with current license to practice in the State of Delaware/Virginia/ Maryland.

The Pain Management Physician Assistant duties include but not limited to:

• Conduct thorough physical examination of patients presenting with pain-related concerns;

Reviewing Patient's Medical History

• Administer and monitor medication management for pain relief, following established protocols and guidelines;
• Consulting with other providers before deciding on a therapy or treatment program to help patients manage their pain;
• Using knowledge and pain management skills to find effective non-invasive treatment options;
• Performing joint injections;
• Provide patient education on pian management techniques, lifestyle modifications and self-care strategies;
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care for patients;
• Stay updated with the latest advancements and research in the field of pain management through continuous learning and professional development.

Qualifications

• Active DE/VA/MD license;
• Previous experience in the field of pain management is preferred;
• Excellent clinical skills, including physical assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative, demonstrating a high level of autonomy in decision-making.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with patients, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals.
