Job summary

Riverdale Park Animal Hospital offers a hands-on externship for 1st through 4th year veterinary students. You will gain real-world experience with a compassionate team, mentorship, and exposure to care, diagnostics, and client communication.

Externs receive 1:1 mentorship, flexible scheduling, paid externship hours, and pathways to future ownership through the partner track. We support ASL-friendly services with English and Spanish assistance.

Qualifications

• Active veterinary student enrolled in AVMA-accredited program.
• 1st–4th year veterinary students eligible.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills required.

Responsibilities

• Gain hands-on externship hours with supervision.
• Receive 1:1 mentorship and guidance.
• Observe and participate in routine exams, diagnostics, and client communication.
