Job summary

House of Representatives seeks a two-year paid Congressional Fellowship for Veterans, Gold Star families, and Active-duty spouses. Selected Fellows will work directly for a Member of Congress or another House officer as part of an office team, in Washington, DC or in Member district offices.

Duties include constituent services, helping constituents with federal agencies, liaising with Veterans Service Organizations, attending events for the Member, and performing legislative work.

Qualifications

• Must be a Veteran, Gold Star family member, or Active-Duty spouse.
• Meet all eligibility requirements, including discharge status and time since active duty.

Responsibilities

• Working as a constituent services representative.
• Helping local constituents resolve issues with federal agencies.
• Serving as liaison to local Veterans Service Organizations.
• Attending local events and meetings on behalf of the Member of Congress.
• Performing legislative work.
