Job summary

General Matter is seeking a Supply Chain Intern to support procurement, sourcing, and supply chain operations for the development and production of our uranium enrichment technology. You will collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and finance to source hardware and manage supplier relationships across the full lifecycle.

You will gain hands-on experience, assist with RFQs and purchasing activities, analyze data with spreadsheets, and help solve material challenges in a fast-paced hardware

Qualifications

• Pursuing degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, or related field.
• Interest in supply chain, procurement, sourcing, or hardware operations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Comfortable with data and spreadsheets to organize information and perform analysis.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Eagerness to learn and take ownership.

Responsibilities

• Support supplier sourcing and qualification for mechanical, electrical, and specialty hardware components.
• Gather information from suppliers on pricing, lead times, availability, manufacturing capabilities, and technical requirements.
• Assist purchasing and material planning activities to ensure components are available for engineering and manufacturing builds.
• Help track supplier performance across delivery, quality, cost, and responsiveness.
• Conduct sourcing and market research to identify potential suppliers and alternatives for critical components.
• Analyze procurement data to identify opportunities to improve cost, lead time, and material availability.
• Support inventory management, supplier onboarding, and other supply chain processes.
• Work cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, operations, and finance to support hardware development and production schedules.
