Job summary

TRC is seeking highly motivated and diverse Environmental Interns for our Summer 2027 intern program out of our San Diego, CA Office. This is a paid full-time position. Anticipated duration will be from June through August 2027 (flexible).

This position has the potential to transition into a Full-Time role upon graduation. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of Project Managers and Team Leaders and partner with engineers, scientists, and technologists.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old with a valid driver's license.
• Pursuing Masters, Bachelors or Associate Degree in Environmental Engineering, Geology, Civil Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0.
• Has excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Time Management, willingness to take on new things, some field work.
• Possesses solid technical and problem-solving skills.
• Self-motivated, detail orientated person.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
• EIT or GIT would be preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• The Intern will support environmental investigation and remediation projects through fieldwork, environmental sampling, and reporting.
• Fieldwork including inspections such as inspecting storm drain structures or SPCC Plans.
• Inspection reports including writing technical reports; QA/QCing lab results or reports.
• Additional duties include supporting project planning, scheduling, and coordination.
• Perform other related duties and responsibilities as necessary.
