Job summary

The program runs for eight weeks (320 hours total) with local travel to project sites and a commitment to remaining in the Pittsburgh area after graduation. Self-transportation to Gateway offices and sites is required.

Qualifications

• Must have completed sophomore or junior year and be returning as senior for eligibility.
• Enrolled in related degree programs (engineering, landscape architecture, GIS).
• Commitment to living and working in the Pittsburgh area after graduation.
• Possess self-transportation to Gateway office and project sites.
• Demonstrate desire to grow personally and professionally.

Responsibilities

• Participate in developmental training sessions (environmental health & safety, design technology, site design, PM, field learning, plan/spec reviews).
• Work on real client projects as directed by the Project Manager.
• Collaborate with project engineers, landscape architects and other specialists.
• Travel to project sites as necessary (local travel only).
• Work in CAD and develop basic knowledge of its function and application.
• Develop plans and project specifications as directed.
