Job summary

Cutler Salon in New York is seeking a motivated Salon Assistant/Apprentice to support stylists and create a welcoming client experience. Qualifications

• Previous cosmetology or barbering training preferred, but enthusiasm to learn is essential.
• Familiarity with MINDBODY or similar salon software is a plus.
• Strong communication and multitasking in a lively salon environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist senior stylists with hair styling, coloring and extension applications.
• Maintain salon cleanliness and sanitation standards.
• Greet clients, schedule appointments and manage check-ins/outs using salon software.
• Upsell and recommend retail products based on client needs.
• Prepare styling stations with tools and supplies.
• Participate in mentoring sessions to develop skills.
