Qualifications

• Nursing student currently enrolled in a nursing program.
• Successful completion of fundamentals nursing course.
• Proof of continued enrollment in a pre-licensure, professional nursing program with no break in enrollment to exceed one year.
• Maintains current BLS/Healthcare provider certification.

Responsibilities

• Provides routine patient care in line with training and supervision from the RN.
• Performs advanced skills after competency achievement (e.g., nasogastric tube care, wound care, dressing changes).
• Monitors patients with Baker Act, behavioral health, or suicide risk as assigned.
• Assists patients with hygiene, mobility, and nutrition needs.
• Maintains safety, patient privacy, and confidentiality.
