Job summary

WellSpan Health's Philhaven Hospital is offering a Summer 2027 Nurse Externship. This temporary program runs May 17, 2027 through July 10, 2027, with a minimum commitment of 36 hours per week and rotating shifts guided by a RN preceptor.

Participants must have completed at least one medical-surgical rotation and be in good standing in an accredited nursing program. Rotations include Adult Inpatient, Child Adolescent Inpatient, and Extended Acute Inpatient.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an approved nursing program with completion of two clinical semesters.
• Enrollment in an accredited BSN program preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care and assist with data collection and documentation.
• Perform selected therapeutic interventions under supervision with a 1:1 RN preceptor.
