Job summary

Disney Entertainment is offering a News Internship at KGO-TV (ABC7) in San Francisco. The role supports the Assignment Desk by covering news, logging tapes, and researching topics for stories through January 2027 to early June 2027.

Participants must be enrolled in college, 18+, with unrestricted work authorization; the program requires a 20-hour weekly commitment, including some nights or weekends, and housing in SF may be needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in journalism (print/broadcast) or internship; and/or TV news script writing.
• Experience using Microsoft Office.
• High attention to detail with ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Attend production meetings, answer phones, and cover the news.
• View and log tapes and transcribe interviews.
• Research topics (online/social media) and assist in planning news stories.
• Observe editors, writers, producers, directors, and technical crews.
