Job summary

Timberline Mountain in Davis, WV is seeking a ski patrol team member for seasonal/full-time work from 2026 to 2027. Responsibilities include medical care, trail safety, evacuations, and equipment transport on snow.

Requirements include 18+ years old, a current OEC card, and at least 1 year patrolling experience with references. Background checks apply; resume preferred. Pay is $18/hour with potential raises for experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Must be at least 18 years old by 11/1/2026 to apply.
• Minimum 1 year experience patrolling with references is required.
• Must hold a current OEC card.
• Must be an expert level skier or boarder.
• All employees age 18+ will complete a background check upon hire.
• Resume preferred.
• Must be able to work in inclement weather in a high alpine environment.
• Must work well in a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist, provide medical care to, and transport sick and injured patients.
• Perform sweeps at the beginning/end of the day to ensure that all trails are safe and guests are safely off the mountain.
• Transport and set up supplies and equipment on skis or snowboard.
• Execute chairlift evacuations.
• Perform trail maintenance, including marking and mitigating hazards to skiing public.
• Promote guest safety through education and enforcement of Timberline Mountain Operations Guide.
• Complete daily paperwork, and ensure incident reports are completed correctly.
