Job summary

The Council on Foreign Relations (CFR) offers paid Blavatnik and Robina Franklin Williams internships in foreign policy. Interns gain writing, research, and program-planning experience through in-person work in New York or Washington, DC, with some roles potentially allowing remote work. Interns are paid $18.50 per hour and typically work 14–18 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Enrolled undergraduate or graduate student by start date.
• Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Assist CFR staff, including preparing relevant briefing materials.
• Perform research as directed using approved CFR databases.
• Write, review, and edit CFR content.
• Support staff on administrative matters, including cross-department collaboration.
• Support meetings and events under the supervision of CFR staff.
• Reference position descriptions for specific duties of each internship.
