Qualifications

  • Sophomores, juniors or seniors in a four-year college or university.
  • Journalism majors or demonstrated commitment to print/online journalism, social media skills, and being digitally astute.
  • Internship experience at other news organizations is strongly preferred.
  • Strong reporting, writing and multimedia skills.
  • Interest in arts & entertainment, travel/outdoors, food & drink, or lifestyle and culture.

Responsibilities

  • Write interesting, accurate, balanced and well-researched stories on a variety of beats under the Features umbrella.
  • Meet deadlines and regularly communicate with your editor.
  • Conceive and pitch original stories and develop them with editors for publication.
