Job summary

Washington Capitals is seeking a Digital Media Intern to assist in day-to-day Marketing operations focused on social and digital platforms. The internship is paid, and the candidate will support social strategy, content creation, and real-time media capture.

Responsibilities include creating graphics and copy for Capitals channels, shooting and editing video for WashCaps.com, and providing insights for reporting. Strong communication and Adobe skills are required.

Qualifications

• Experience with managing social media accounts and creating engaging content.
• Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite for graphics and video.
• Demonstrated writing and storytelling skills for digital channels.

Responsibilities

• Assist Digital Media team with day-to-day coverage of the Capitals on social and digital platforms.
• Support creation of Capitals social media strategy and engagement initiatives.
• Create graphics and copy for publication on Capitals channels, website and emails.
• Capture photo/video content at practices, games and community events.
• Assist in shooting/editing video for WashCaps.com and internal reports.
• Track, monitor and provide insights on posts for reporting.
