Job summary

American Bankers Association (ABA) offers a paid internship in Washington, DC, with an on-site expectation at least two days per week. The role runs from June 7, 2027 to August 13, 2027, at 37.5 hours per week, paying $25 per hour for undergraduate students.

Selected interns will work across ABA divisions, interact with leadership, and gain exposure to marketing, communications, and membership initiatives while contributing to ABA Banking Journal content and brand messaging.

Qualifications

• Pursuing an undergraduate degree in journalism/communications/marketing/media studies (or similar).
• Graduation date between Dec 2027 and May 2029, in the U.S. college or university.
• Desire to pursue a career in marketing/communications is preferred but not required.
• Strong editing, proofreading, and AP style discipline.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to creative messaging and compelling content to support marketing goals.
• Draft ad and editorial copy for advocacy, membership and marketing campaigns.
• Contribute articles or editorial content to ABA Banking Journal.
