Job summary

Loureiro Contractors Inc. in Plainville, CT is seeking a Construction Management Intern to support start-up, scheduling, submittals, safety, and cost control on diverse projects. This paid internship offers hands-on learning opportunities in both office and field settings.

You will assist Estimators and Project Managers, perform quantity take-offs, coordinate subcontractors, and help prepare reports, schedules, and budgets under supervision.

Qualifications

• Must be a junior or senior pursuing a degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
• Prior experience on site/construction projects is a plus.
• Must have strong attention to detail and written/verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist Estimators, Project Managers, and Field Superintendents throughout all phases of construction projects.
• Perform quantity take-offs and solicit quotes from subcontractors and material suppliers.
• Support scheduling, submittals, and coordination of subcontractor contracts and purchase orders.
• Prepare project-specific health and safety documents.
• Assist in the coordination of self-performed work.
• Attend job meetings and participate in project discussions.
• Help prepare reports, work plans, schedules, and budgets.
• Create, set up, and maintain project filing systems.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
