Job summary

The Climate Action Campaign Fellowship is a paid, 13-week program based in Washington, DC, with a hybrid schedule requiring 2-3 office days weekly. Fellows join the Grassroots department and perform varied tasks to support climate advocacy campaigns while developing professional skills.

Expect to draft SMS messages, participate in phone banks, organize DC-area events, and engage volunteers across states. Vaccinations are required for onsite work; East Coast hours apply regardless of location.

Qualifications

• Experience with data entry and attention to detail, database management is a plus.
• Familiarity with Excel features and macros for data tasks.
• Proficiency using Google Sheets for data organization.
• Light writing and research experience helpful for outreach tasks.

Responsibilities

• Draft SMS messages on EPA rules and pollution standards.
• Assist with phone banks and canvassing outreach to volunteers.
• Help organize events in the DC area to raise visibility.
• Support grassroots projects engaging volunteers across states.
• Follow supervisor instructions and communicate clearly.
