Job summary

Boulay is seeking an enthusiastic Intern to join our Assurance Department in Eden Prairie, Minnesota. You will participate in all phases of engagements, meet clients, plan engagements, and assist with wrap-up and report preparation.

The internship is paid, runs June–August, and offers in-house training, mentorship, and growth opportunities. Responsibilities include performing compilations, reviews, and audits, supporting client engagements, and drafting communications.

Qualifications

• Pursuing bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting and/or 150 credit hours.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA and a solid track record of academic achievements.
• Completion of intermediate accounting course(s).
• Completion of some Advanced Accounting and/or Audit course(s) by time of internship.
• Awareness of GAAP and knowledge of attestation standards.
• Strong computer skills and proficiency in accounting software, including Microsoft Office.
• Exemplary communication and organizational skills.
• Strong desire to learn and develop professionally.
• Motivated to serve clients.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform compilations, reviews, and audits of financial statements.
• Participate in client engagements including testing cash, accounts payable, PP&E, and debt schedules.
• Assist with drafting client communications and with special projects.
• Participate in client discussions with CEO, CFO, and management.
• Learn and develop competency with necessary software.
