Job summary

Milwaukee Rescue Mission seeks a CTA student for the After School Program Assistant Intern role at the North Campus in Milwaukee, WI. The intern will assist After Care staff with activities for K4-5th graders, support tutoring and mentoring, and help maintain a safe, Christian atmosphere after school.

The position is part-time, 10 hours/week, 2:30pm-5:00pm, through the school year. Pay rate is $11.00 per hour, with a focus on student development and faith-based mentoring.

Qualifications

• CTA student status required (10th-12th grade).
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Good collaboration and communication abilities.
• Reliable with strong attendance and punctuality.
• Quick learner and able to follow directions.

Responsibilities

• Assist after care staff with program activities for children in grades K4-5th.
• Reinforce lessons and provide one-on-one support during activities.
• Supervise youth in homework help, recreation, mentoring, and social development.
• Maintain safety, cleanliness, and inventory of program spaces.
• Set up and clean up for programs, events and meals.
