Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in accordance with policies and the nursing process.
• Conduct thorough patient assessments and document findings, reporting changes to the care team.
• Provide age-appropriate care and education using knowledge of human development.
• Administer prescribed medications, monitor side effects, document administration per standards.
• Assist physicians during procedures within documented competency.
• Collaborate with health care team to develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans.
• Respond to medical emergencies and participate in CPR and code team activities as appropriate.
• Advocate for patient rights and ensure understanding in care planning and delivery.
• Educate patients and families on conditions, treatment plans, and post-discharge care.
• Maintain infection control protocols and monitor medical equipment for safety.
• Maintain clean, safe environments and participate in audits to ensure standards.
• Demonstrate responsible decision-making in planning and delegation.
• Document patient care and education thoroughly in the medical record.
• Engage in professional development to maintain clinical competency.
• Performs other duties as assigned and maintains reliable attendance.
