Job summary

The Medical University of South Carolina is seeking a Registered Nurse II to deliver individualized, goal-directed patient care in a fast-paced PACU environment. Under general supervision, you will work with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe and effective nursing care.

Requirements include a BSN preferred; a current SC RN license or compact state license; BLS certification; and at least one year of RN experience. 36-hour weeks with day shifts; potential weekend calls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Nursing degree preferred; RN staff hired on or after July 1, 2013 with an Associate or Diploma in nursing must enroll in an accredited BSN program within two years and obtain BSN within four years.
• A minimum of one year of work experience as a registered nurse is required.
• Licensure as a registered nurse by the South Carolina Board of Nursing or a compact state; BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized, goal-directed patient care utilizing the nursing process.
• Deliver safe and effective care and collaborate with the health care team to achieve desired results.
• Perform duties consistent with PACU/post-anesthesia care unit requirements and unit policies.
