Job summary

Resurrection Medical Center in Chicago, IL seeks a PACU Registered Nurse to provide post‑anesthesia care in the Recovery Room. You will deliver care using the nursing process, coordinate with the surgeon and anesthesiologist, and guide other staff to maintain standards in PACU operations. Full‑time evenings 11:00am–9:30pm with on‑call.

Requires a current RN license, BLS and ACLS on hire, and PACU or critical care experience. BSN and CCRN preferred.

Qualifications

• Requires current RN license.
• BLS (AHA) certification at hire and maintained.
• ACLS (AHA) certification 30 days after hire and maintained.
• Experience in Critical Care or PACU preferred.
• BSN preferred.
• CCRN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care to PACU patients using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation).
• Coordinate post-operative care with surgeon and anesthesiologist.
• Direct and support other staff; ensure adherence to PACU standards and hospital policies.
• Participate in Performance Improvement activities and unit meetings.
