Job summary

United Health Services (UHS) is hiring Staff Registered Nurses for the PACU team at UHS Wilson Medical Center in Johnson City, NY. The PACU unit is fast-paced and collaborative, focusing on managing patient pain and rapid recovery with on-call weekends/holidays.

Position is part-time (24 hours per week) with 8-hour shifts in the Evening schedule. Requires NY State RN license; CCRN preferred; ACLS/PALS/TNCC as required by home unit.

Qualifications

• Minimum: Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing.
• Preferred: BSN in Nursing.
• Certifications: NY State RN license; CCRN preferred; ACLS/PALS/TNCC as required by unit.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, delegate, coordinate and evaluate nursing care for a group of patients.
• Educate patients and families on health promotion and disease management.
• Safely administer medications per UHS policies and document care.
• Support unit governance and participate in professional development and evidence-based practice.
