Job summary

Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital is seeking a Night Shift Registered Nurse for the PACU to provide professional nursing care to assigned patients in a high-quality, standards-based environment.

You will assess patients, formulate care plans, implement and evaluate them, and collaborate with the care team to ensure patient safety and targeted outcomes, including post-anesthesia care and recovery support.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse license in Georgia (or eligibility)
• BLS certified
• ACLS within 1 year of hire
• PALS or within 1 year of hire

Qualifications

• 2 year / Associate Degree in Nursing from a state accredited school (Required)
• 4 year / Bachelor's Degree in from a state accredited School of Professional Nursing (Preferred)

Work Experience

• 1 - 2 years Nursing Experience (Preferred)

Licenses and Certifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) with current Georgia license
• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) obtained within one year of hire
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or obtained within 1 year of hire

Essential Functions

ASSESSMENT AND DIAGNOSIS

• Collects data in a systematic and ongoing process
• Issues are identified and diagnoses are developed based on assessment data.
• Prioritizes data collection based on the patient's condition and needs.
• Identifies expected outcomes and plan based on diagnoses or issues.

CARE PLANNING AND IMPLEMENTATION

• Develops an individualized plan with strategies that address diagnoses.
• Provides for continuity through a plan that directs other members of the team.
• Implements the plan in a safe and timely manner.
• Documents implementation and includes changes or omissions of the identified plan.
• Consults with healthcare providers and makes referrals as appropriate.
• Utilizes appropriate community resources and systems to implement the plan.

DOCUMENTATION

• Documents and submits required information and data in a timely fashion.
• Clearly and accurately documents designated processes, policies, products, service offerings, etc.
• Ensures that documentation is tailored to expected readers / users.
• Uses correct terminology.
• Conforms to required style and format.

OUTCOMES AND EVALUATIONS

• Involves patient/family and other disciplines to determine expected outcomes.
