Job summary

HCA Healthcare seeks a PACU Registered Nurse at its Mt. Olympus Surgery Center in Salt Lake City, UT. You will provide postoperative nursing care, ensure patient safety, and participate in interdisciplinary collaboration to optimize outcomes.

This role emphasizes family-centered care and adherence to hospital policies. Requirements include an Associate Degree in Nursing or higher, active RN license, and certifications (BCLS; ACLS; PALS as needed).

Qualifications

• RN with an associate degree or higher and active state license.
• 1+ year of nursing experience in PACU, ICU, or Surgery preferred.
• ACLS and BCLS required; PALS as needed by facility.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patient care areas and ensure equipment and supplies are ready.
• Demonstrate airway management techniques.
• Monitor patients per policy (vital signs, temperature, cardiac).
• Insert, maintain, and remove IV catheters and saline locks.
• Perform and document head-to-toe patient evaluations using approved scoring.
• Check dressings and report abnormalities to surgeon.
• Provide a safe, comforting environment for patients and families.
• Ensure patients meet discharge criteria.
