Job summary

Medlinkhealth Anesthesia Associates in Bay City, Michigan, is seeking an experienced RN specialized in the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) for a temporary hospital assignment. The RN will provide post-operative care for patients recovering from anesthesia and respond quickly to changes in patient condition.

Schedule consists of 12-hour day shifts (9:00 AM–9:30 PM) with guaranteed hours and weekend availability. On-call duties may be required as part of the assignment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of dedicated PACU nursing experience.
• Active Michigan RN license required at submission.
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Monitor vital signs, oxygen saturation, and level of consciousness during post-anesthesia recovery.
• Maintain airway patency and assess respiratory status.
• Administer prescribed medications, IV fluids, pain relief, and antiemetics.
• Assess surgical sites, dressings, and drainage for complications.
• Recognize and respond to changes in patient condition and post-operative emergencies.
• Document patient assessments and care in the electronic medical record.
• Collaborate with anesthesiologists, surgeons, and the perioperative care team.
