Shrewsbury Surgery Center is seeking a full-time RN in PACU. The PACU RN provides continuity and quality nursing care for patients emerging from anesthesia, ensuring safety, comfort, and privacy. Responsibilities include monitoring, planning, and evaluating care while supporting perioperative teams.

Qualifications include RN licensure, BLS/ACLS (PALS if required), and 2 years PACU/CCU experience. Strong communication and nursing judgment are essential for this role.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing.
• Active RN license in the state.
• BLS and ACLS Required, PALS if required by the center.
• 2 years experience in PACU or Critical Care preferred.
• Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment.
• Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet patient needs.
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Provide total post-anesthesia patient care, assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation for discharge.
• Maintain patient safety, comfort and privacy throughout perioperative care.
• Assist physicians in procedure rooms, with sedation and sterile techniques when appropriate.
• Monitor patient condition and adjust care as needed during recovery.

PACU Registered Nurse (PACU RN) at Shrewsbury Surgery Center

The PACU Registered Nurse provides continuity and quality nursing care for all patients, with continual evaluation of the patient's condition, providing patient safety, comfort, and privacy at all times. May assist the physicians in the procedure rooms with various tasks, conscious sedation, and utilizing sterile techniques as deemed appropriate. Will provide total comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation; assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patient and family in preparation for discharge

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing

Pay Range:

$39.93/hr - $59.90/hr (Wages are determined based upon a number of factors including, but not limited to, an individual’s qualifications and experience.)
